Zer02 rider Marina Alabau was proclaimed World Number Two in the Women's RS:X Class Windsurfing World Championship which took place
in Torbole (Italy) from September 20th - 30th. She finished behind the Italian Alessandra Sensini after a dispute in the Medal Race.
The final day began with the Italian triple Olympic medallist and the Andalusian separated by two points. Marina started out well, but her rival answered back due to her better knowledge of the location and prevailed over Marina, who ended the race with a magnificent silver.
